Support for Family Caregivers & Neurodiverse Employees

advocacy employment well-being

A recent study by the Harvard Business Review identified caregivers as the fastest growing employee demographic.  Yet fewer than half of workers report having communicated about their caregiving responsibilities with their managers.  Many human resource departments want to provide more support to caregivers in the workplace, but resources are few and far between.

The same holds true for neurodivergent employees.  According to a study by Harvard Medical School, 1 in 7 employees identify as being neurodivergent.  Yet half of them report leaving their jobs because their needs are not being accommodated.

Families want help, employees want to succeed, and more support is required.

That's where Joshin comes in. I learned about this company recently and am delighted to share more on the supports they offer. If you find this appealing, I encourage you to share this post with your employer's HR director or employee benefits manager.

Joshin offers a variety of supports and services to help make work places more inclusive -- and to help make employees more productive.  Struggling to manage the many challenges of raising a child with disabilities?  Joshin has a team of professional who can assist with information gathering and active problem solving to help you move ahead in your parenting journey.  Similarly, Joshin can provide one-to-one coaching for caregivers and neurodivergent employees.  Even HR directors can benefit from Joshin-sponsored team trainings on DEIB, accommodations, talent acquisition, ERGs and more.

According to the company:  "Joshin is the only comprehensive support solution for disability and neurodivergence" in the workplace. No wonder Hearst, Dropbox,  Best Buy and other companies have partnered with Joshin to support employees with disabilities, family caregivers, and work teams.

Mike Casarella, Director of Partnerships at Joshin, is available to provide more information on this amazing resource.  You can email him at [email protected].
